What are some sauna maintenance tips?

Easy Maintenance for Your Health Mate® Infrared Sauna

Keeping your Health Mate® infrared sauna pristine is simple, with no regular parts to replace. Proper sauna maintenance ensures longevity and performance. Follow these official tips for cleaning your sauna.

After Each Use

The key to daily sauna care is managing moisture from perspiration. Always place towels on the bench and floor to absorb sweat. After your session, wipe down any excess moisture or simply leave the sauna running for a few extra minutes with the roof vent open to allow it to dry completely.

Routine Sauna Cleaning

For general cleaning, use your vacuum’s hand attachment to remove any dust or debris. Occasionally, wipe the interior wood with a damp towel. For a deeper clean, use a non-toxic solution of water and baking soda. Never spray cleaners directly on the wood or use harsh chemicals. To remove a perspiration stain, lightly sand the spot with fine-grit sandpaper.
